Costa Rica Schools
Last week public schools opened here in Costa Rica. The kids here love to go to school. It is only five hours a day, so I think that is why they love it so much. Costa Rica has the highest literacy rate of all the Central American countries. The teacher to student ratio is 1-15. The teachers here, that we have dealt with are very dedicated to their jobs and take it very seriously. Very refreshing.

Icee
To those of you eyeball deep in snow presently this probably does not look too good. But with our eighty plus weather we have been having in Costa Rica,, it was scrumptious. They make the best icees in the world right here in Costa Rica. We loved shaved ice, but it does not compare to icees. They layer the shaved ice with milk powder, then top it off with flavoring and the best part, sweetened condensed milk! Oh Yeah!

Heredia
Today was a beautiful day in Parque Central de Heredia. We love to head down there and chase pigeons and eat icees. It was beautiful there, about eighty and gorgeous. A great place to meet other travelers and people watch.
